Large door mirrors and optimal hip-point height enhance the driver’s field of view for added safety. High-performance brakes with advanced vehicle control technologies, including optional –wheel antilock braking system (4A-ABS) with electronic bake-force distribution (EBD) and Load Sensing Proportioning Valve, provide assured braking even on slippery surfaces or under various load conditions.

PASSIVE SAFETY MEASURES PROTECT OCCUPANTS
A highly rigid overlapped and cross-braced ladder frame combines with Mazda’s unique Triple-H cabin structure and built-in door impact bars to satisfy stringent European collision-safety standards. Optional dual front airbags protect occupants in the event of a collision. Airbag-equipped models are also fitted with front seatbelt pretensioners and load limiters. The driver’s side power window features an auto-reverse safety system that prevents items from being trapped as the power window closes.
